I had been looking for something to replace my aging nikon 3200 for quite some time now and B&H had a factory refurbished 7500 for stupid cheap so naturally I jumped on it. I should be able to break it in properly at a car show my work is doing next Saturday
which if I play my cards right will also be the jag’s first proper photoshoot since I put the 350 in it. (No it’s not running yet, I’m going to trailer it there and unload it the evening before.
) But for now you all will have to settle for some
quick 10 second shots.

Looks good! I really hemmed and hawed over the D7500 when I was camera shopping. The good thing is that you have a ton of lenses to choose from. There’s a 35 mm f/1.8 lens that usually goes for under $200 new (and probably cheaper used) that I would 100% recommend.

Nifty. My D5000 is getting a bit ancient, but I think given that I don’t get too much use out of it anyway, I can wait and see what Nikon does for consumer mirrorless cameras.

Imagine buying a Nikon when Canon exists.

Hey, what’s a good entry level D SLR for some who takes bad pictures with their iPhone of his cars, child, and dog?

entry level
canon’s tend to have easier setup with a shorter learning curve
and oogles of support, but there isn’t really a huge variance of quality between the major brands with their entry level stuff. Which ever one you could get local and cheap would probably
be more than good enough.

What's your price range? Anything used at a camera shop should be fine. An entry Canon or Nikon would be good, since the platforms are well established and you'll be able to use decades of lenses on most of them.
